Neetu Pokharel, MA

Research Trainee

Neetu holds a master’s degree in Gender and Social Justice Studies from the University of Alberta and a joint master’s degree in Conflict, Peace, and Development Studies from Nepal and Sri Lanka. She has experience in community justice, legal empowerment, and peace building, with a focus on equity and minority rights across South Asia. As a Research Trainee at the DEPtH Lab, her work focuses on digital health literacy and community engagement in low-resource settings, examining how digital inclusion can improve equitable access to services and health outcomes. She is currently involved in the pilot implementation of the DiSCO platform in Bardiya, Nepal.
